Jokowi Dismissed the Covid-19 Task Force, Here Is His Substitute

President Joko Widodo or Jokowi dismissed the Task Force for the Acceleration of National and Regional Co-19 Handling. Jokowi formulated the decision in Presidential Regulation No. 82 of 2020 concerning the Corruption Virus Disease Handling Committee 2019 (Covid-19) and National Economic Recovery.

In the Perpres, Article 20 states revoking the Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 7 of 2020 as amended in Presidential Decree No. 9 of 2020 concerning the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19.

"The Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling of Covid-19 and the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling of Covid-19 for the region was dissolved," wrote the copy of the Perpres on Article 20 Paragraph 2 letter b.

Later, according to the Perpres, precisely Article 20 Paragraph 2 letter c, the authority of the task force will be continued by the Policy Committee in which has a Covid-19 Handling Task Force / Regional Covid Handling Handling Task Force-19.

The regulation specifies that the Committee will report to the President. There are three parts, first the Policy Committee, second the Covid-19 Handling Task Force, and thirdly the National Economic Recovery and Transformation Task Force.

According to Article 6, the Covid-19 Handling Task Force is still chaired by the Head of BNPB. Then, as referred to in Article 2 letter b, the Covid-19 Handling Task Force has four duties.
